Mud Creek Conservancy started as the Sargent Road Association (SRA) Land Use Committee. As our sister organization, SRA partners with MCC on a number of initiatives, including habitat restoration work days and public awareness.

MCC is partnering with Earth Charter Indiana to reforest several MCC conservation easements in the Spring of 2016.

The Indianapolis Water Company, Citizens Energy Group predecessor, donated the 7 acre conservation easement located at Fall Creek and Sargent Road to MCC in 2000. MCC is now partnering with Citizens Energy Group and Earth Charter Indiana to reforest a portion of that easement in the Spring of 2016.

MCC has been a presenter at Earth Day Indiana since 2003. In 2010 our naturalist and his collection of critters were showcased in EDI's "cool stuff" session, giving kids a hands-on chance to learn more about interesting reptiles and amphibians found in the Mud Creek watershed.

Sanitary Management & Engineering Company, Inc. (SAMCO) partnered with MCC in 2010 - 2011 on a wetlands remediation project, planting over a hundred trees on several MCC conservation easements.

The Walmart Community Foundation generously provided MCC with an $800 grant in 2005 to fund the launch of our Hoosier Riverwatch initiative. The grant was used to purchase reagents and analytical instrumentation required to conduct chemical and biological testing of Mud Creek's water quality.
